MEEHAUN GLASPER-WADE
I am Meehaun Glasper-Wade, a San Francisco based artist, painter, and SFSU alumni. Being largely influenced by my existence as a Black transgender man, many of my paintings depict the social and medical transitions of both myself and others of the broader trans community.
I hope my work will help aid in dialog around Black trans-masculinity and the infinite ways in which the trans body can express gender and sexuality- to further bridge the gap between our communities, queer and not.
My recent series of abstract drawings and paintings are worlds that explore themes of transition, visibility, awareness and hyperawareness, and togetherness within the self and within community
