READ OUR ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT FROM our accessibility coordinator aja':
The NELGBTC Oversight Board made a decision to create a new Board position and Committee because they saw that access needs to be improved. Our Accessibility Coordinator, Aja’ Wallace wrote a statement about why this is important to us:
Accessibility is more than someone being able to reach the top shelf. It’s about ensuring that all things—activities, resources, career opportunities and more—are readily available to all folx involved. Accessibility is vital because the NELGBTC’s mission is to ensure that folx of different abilities can attend and/or present at the conference. We believe in truly making our events accessible to all those who wish to attend or present and we strive to keep finding ways to do just that! We are proud to have ASL interpreters, wheelchair accessible classrooms and host-campus layout.
