NELGBT Conference Structure

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the macro-level maintenance of the Northeast LGBT Conference Organization. This includes, and is not limited to:

Managing the organizational budget, and allocating funds to each conference host (annual decision);
Collection of corporate sponsorships, and management of corporate funds;
Establishing contractual agreements with Connare Tech, Campus Pride, and other organizations;
Providing direct oversight and guidance to the conference host committee (formed annually);
Maintaining financial, tax and other records associated with 501c (3) status.

Conference Host Committee
This committee is coordinate and made up by host school. There must always be a Chair for this committee, and the committee must have students on it. This committee is responsible for the planning and administration of that year’s Northeast LGBT Conference, to be hosted at their school. Committee Chair must agree to be around for questions and to share data for the year following their conference. This committee is overseen by the Assistant Director from the Northeast LGBT Conference and must have bi-weekly meetings with the Assistant Director to update the board on their planning status. Host committee is financially responsible for all web contract and contracts established for that year’s conference.
