Kate Clinton is a faith-based, tax-paying, America-loving political humorist and family entertainer. With a career spanning almost thirty years, Kate Clinton has worked through economic booms and busts, Disneyfication and Walmartization, gay movements and gay markets, lesbian chic and queer eyes, and eight presidential inaugurals. She still believes that humor gets us through peacetime, wartime, scoundrel time and economic down times.

Opening Session Keynote

T. J. Jourian, who was featured in the Logo Documentary TransGeneration, tells his story of coming to the US from Cyprus in 1999 and living as a Transman. T.J. serves NASPA’s GLBT Issues Knowledge Community as the Vice Chair for Transgender Inclusion, Co-Chair Elect, and representative on the 2011 NASPA Multicultural Institute Planning Committee.

Breakout Session Gallery Exhibit & Walk-Through

Dona Ann McAdams is an out bisexual photographer who has been credited with creating the AIDS Ribbon.  Her artwork has been exhibited widely, nationally and internationally, at places such as the Museum of Modern Art, NYC; The Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC; The International Center of Photography; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Robert Miller Gallery and La Primavera Fotographica, Barcelona.

Saturday Keynote: Voice & Action National Leadership Award Ceremony

Daniel Hernandez, Jr. is the college student credited with saving U.S. Representative Gabriel Giffords’ life in the 2011 Arizona shooting. Hernandez attended to Giffords and others immediately after she was shot in the head during a speech at a local supermarket. Known nationally as a humble hero, Daniel shares the powerful story of the shooting and aftermath of a tragic day in American history.

Bebe Zahara Benet was crowned "America's Next Drag Superstar" winner of Season 1 of Logo's hit show RuPaul's Drag Race. Hailing from Cameroon, Bebe is a renowned drag queen, model, and singer/performer on tour with the DIVAS OF DIVERSITY.

Shane L. Windmeyer is a leading author on gay campus issues, national leader in gay and lesbian civil rights and a champion for LGBT issues on college campuses. He is cofounder and executive director of Campus Pride, the only national organization for student leaders and campus organizations working to create a safer college environment for LGBT students.
