The cities of Albany and Troy New York are located on the western and eastern banks of the Hudson River, close to the Vermont and Massachusetts state borders. Albany and Troy, New York are roughly 150 miles north of New York City, 170 miles east of Boston, and 220 miles from Montreal Canada. Known as the Capital District, Albany, New York is the capital of New York State and houses the State Legislature, Governor’s office, state monuments and more.
Both cities are eclectic, historic urban communities with world-class museums and theatres, including the New York State Museum, unique art galleries, stunning architecture, and gourmet and eclectic restaurants.
