Harvey Bernard Milk was born in Woodmere, New York on Long Island on May 22, 1930. Milk graduated from Bay Shore High School in Bay Shore, New York, in 1947 and attended the State University of New York at Albany ( Known then as the New York State College for Teachers
in Albany) from 1947 to 1951, majoring in mathematics. ( more information...)

Join us, and hundreds of LGBTQA; High School & College Students, faculty, staff, and community members from across the North East, as we Break the Silence and Shatter the Facets of Oppression.

When it is time to speak out, we will have a lot to say and we will say it louder than ever when for the FIRST time the entire North East will come together at the University at Albany to break the Silence with one voice!!

The Voice and Action National Leadership Award is an honorary recognition highlighting the outstanding accomplishments of young adult leaders at colleges and universities across the United States.
